Kuala Lumpur Tower


Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) has a 421 meters high which is the fourth tallest communication tower in the world and one of the landmarks of Kuala Lumpur. You can take a high-speed elevator in the tower and stopped on the observation bridge at 335 meters high to see the beautiful scenery of Kuala Lumpur.

KL Tower is located rather far away from downtown Kuala Lumpur. If you don’t like walking in the hot tropical weather, you can take a taxi to come here. In this place often held a traditional and contemporary music concert. Make sure you are connected to Tower information center to find out about current events before you go there.


Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia


The museum has an 30.000 square meters area, located in Tasik Perdana Park, Kuala Lumpur. The museum has a collection of more than seven thousand artifacts and a library that has a large number of books related to Islamic art. Artifacts on display include some beautiful jewelry pieces, to one of the largest model of the Grand Mosque Masjidil Haram. The museum was built to introduce a collection of Islamic art, which truly represent the entire Muslim world.

You can walk or use taxis to come to this location. IAMM located between Tasik Perdana Park and State Mosque. You are advised to check the IAMM website to know the typical exhibition events that may be held when you visit there.


National Museum


National Museum provides information about the culture, heritage and history of Malaysia. National Museum that now exists, is actually a former Selangor Museum was built in 1898. After the country's independence from Britain on August 31, 1957, the royal union has built a new museum in the former building.

National Museum was inaugurated by the king of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Putra III Al-Haj Ibni late Syed Hassan Jamalullail on August 31, 1963.

The museum is located in Damansara street, making the State Museum is easily recognizable. You can come here by bus or taxi. The location is also close to KL Sentral.


Jamek Mosque


This historic mosque was built in 1909, and is the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur. The mosque is located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers, where the origin of Kuala Lumpur. This mosque was inspired by the art of mogul building, from northern India, and the building was officially opened in 1965 as the State Mosque. Now, even though there is a new national mosque, Jamek mosque still an important mosque due to its strategic location in the downtown of Kuala Lumpur.

Located near the department store, food centers and business area makes this place always crowded. If entering to the mosque, make sure you dress modestly because this building is a worship place.

If you want go to this place, you can use the LRT train Putra. You can ride the LRT and stop at the Masjid Jamek station. The mosque is located near this station.


National Palace


National Palace was originally the residence of a Chinese trade expert, Chan Wing was built in 1928. During the Japanese occupation of Malaya in 1942 - 1945, Japan took over the residence and replace it into the official residence of the Japanese and Japanese officials. After the end of World War II, the royal residence of State Selangor change this and make it the official residence of Sultan of Selangor.

After the independence in 1957, the government changed this residence became the official residence for  Yang Di-Pertuan Agong. The National Palace is surrounded by a high fence, but you can still see the palace and gardens. National Palace is not open for public, therefore, the main door is often used as a place for visitors to take pictures.

If you want to go to this place, from Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station, you can take a taxi to the Palace. This is the most appropriate transport to the location.


National Theatre


One of the most 10 sophisticated stage theaters in the world and became the first theater in Asia equipped with most modern stage equipment, same as the world's leading theater - the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Inside this building is made using Langkawi marble and tropical wood, carved with flower motifs and leaves. National Theatre located at Tun Razak Street. You can visit this place by taxi.


Petronas Gallery


Petronas Gallery is a modern and contemporary art gallery, located at Level 3, Suria KLCC, which aims to buy and sell works of art in Malaysia. This place is located on Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur.

This gallery is an art institution founded in 1993 by Petronas, the national oil union to assist the arts development in Malaysia. Petronas Gallery provides an exhibition space for contemporary Malaysian artists to display their artworks. Various exhibits by local artists and among nations is often held in the Petronas Gallery.

The place is located in Suria KLCC, to come to the gallery is very easy, using buses, taxis, LRT (get off at the station KLCC) or by train. Entrance is free. Opened: Tuesday - Sunday (10 am - 8 pm). Closed for Monday.
